Well. This weekend's been interesting to say the least. Went as getto Duo since I sorta forgot my hat. 6 hours away from the con. Go me. I deserve a cookie for that one. And then tried to sew the Bleach costume, yah. Didn't work out very well and we all gave up at 3 in the morning, deciding that we'll just shoot for like, next year. Go us.
Well, the trip up there was great. We were all singing and stuff, even made up a new song called 'The ACEN trip is for Porn'. Then we played the 'spot the gay truck game' where we pointed out the color of the cabs and the Yellow and Purple were gay, white and yellow were bi, and the sky blue ones were just plain pricks. Well, we were having fun, until there was an accident I guess on the way into Chicago. Waited an hour and a half in stand still traffic. I'm not joking either. And hence, we made up a whole verse to the 'The Acen trip is for Porn' song just about the 'wonderful' traffic jam. Finally rolled into the hotel, unpacked, and started sewing...and sewing...and pinning, and cutting and watch the sewing machine be an ass. So, didn't finish my costume or start on Chris', but that's okay. I guess. :)
Friday started out fun, with us being informed about the others arriving and all. We finished up some stuff for Crystal's costume (From Bleach again, but watch me not spell it because of my fear of misspelling it.) and I figued out that I can do hair! Yay!!! *cough* Anyway, went to a few signings, inwhich I had no idea who these people were nor who they voice acted, which is very bad of me. I learned though, and that was the important thing. Went to the Gundam panel, which was everything and anything Gundam. It was awesome, since I learned of series of it that I never even knew existed, and even some of the spin offs. It was fun though, to point out both the good and the bad parts of it. Very informal too, about the years and stuff. Even made fun of the creator for a little bit. Hehehe. I loved the Japanese guests, I can believe I forgot his name...omg. He had a fro and of course, why ask questions about anime when you can talk about the fro ?!? Then of course, there was Anime Hell and Midnight madness, which was, as always, entertaining. 'My spoon is tooo biiig.' and 'My anus is bleeding!'. Need I quote more? And then, earlier, they tried to direct elevator traffic, which was a bust. Stupid hotel employees. Thinking they can control the masses with lines and stuff. *rolls eyes*
Saturday was awesome. got up early and got my Itatchi, Gaara, and Sesshomaru plushies and some stickers, an elements tee-shirt, some buttons, and some art. I love artist alley by the way, it's awesome. Then there were more signings of course! Who can live without the signings? Um...what else? Oh, got my picture taken, once. I was rather surprized since I was ghetto Duo with a bandana around my left arm. Go me. Anywho...went to the undead panel which was a total bust. One of the panelists didn't show up and then it was just unorganized. It was entertaining though. Learned that Vampires and those with anemia have the same symptoms. Kinda funny isn't it? Yah, thought so too. Then went to the rave and made a total ass of myself. Go me. I can't dance, and I can't do the cool thing with the glow sticks. :P
Sunday was the fun one. Our alarm decided not to go off and then the time kept saying 7:33 instead of the time, so we got up at 11, and we were out of the room by 12. Go us I think. I mean, we rocked major sox getting everything out of there. And then, we all went to get more stuff signed and shopping. Hence the real fun begins. Well, sitting around, waiting for the closing ceremonies, reading Yaoi while Crystal went to take those that took the train to the train station. Went to the closing ceremonies, and half the guests that they called up weren't there. That was the most worthless pos I've seen. Everyone says it was better last year, and I can see why. Anyway, after that, found Oishi, and waited, and waited and waited. Found out that almost all of the people who were from Michigan were left behind with no way to get back. We had the 'official' ACEN: After the con meeting. We basically sat in a corner and played Apples to Apples with Press Ninja and his boyfriend. It was so awesome. They had their own made up custom cards added to it and it was just awesome. They left, and we got kicked out of our corner after that. It was amazing, we were right by the front desk and did the 'escelators are back on dance', and 'LOOK AT THE EMPTY ELEVATOR' and we rode it all the way up and all the way down. That was fun. Well, Crystal came back, explaining why she took four hours, which was that she had the wrong directions to the wrong train station and had to drive them all around until it was decided that they were gonna take a plane and that be that.
So, on the way home and after Crystal calmed down a little, we were playing a really random game. It's one where we say like 'video games' and we keep naming off people we want, but we can't recall someone. it was very interesting. I wish I wrote down the names, because they were damn funny of who got who. :P
So, got home, unpacked, slept, took car back, talked to Bethany, took a nap, and here we are. So, going to look for youtube stuff, which I will post here later, after the peace thing.
Peace,
really happy went to at least one ACEN pscyho
Two things from Anime Hell. Yes, the Rejected movie is a little weird and wrong, but whatever. Still funny.
