So, that's work. Otherwise, been kinda active and talking to people on Plurk...which I haven't done in too long of time. So I guess that's good. Been doodling with my tablet and haven't really been coming up with anything, which isn't surprising. Been playing a lot of Pokemon too, and got the Game Stop Celebi that apparently gives you a Pokemon in Black and White, like the other Pokemon that have been released. Which is cool because it's now my strongest Pokemon on my Diamond at level 50, which is awesome because that means I'm gonna kick some ass!

Also, finally caught up on all the episodes of Star Driver, which I have an OT3 for... Not sure if that's a good or bad thing as of yet. In other anime news, been rewatching Zoids: Fuzors because I love my giant robots. Especially giant robots that are KICK ASS.

In other news, my screen now has 50 bagillion Prussia and 2 Russia wandering around. Aka-my screen has overloaded with AWESOME.

And...damn that was depressing. In other news, getting sick. Hopefully not enough to make me call off in the next few days.. I want another year of perfect attendance at work, even though I get yelled at for it. The sick time doesn't roll over/get added in anywhere, but I have this thing called a guilty conscious and I just can't bring myself to call off. Especially just knowing that everyone would be screwed over.

So, that was my week in a nutshell. Joined two Hetalia rps (finally) too, which I'm still filling out apps for. I have a love/hate relationship in filling out histories. Because I adore doing the research, but I just...hate typing it all up. That and character descriptions. Why the hell would I need one if you're making me post a picture anyway?? But I digress, could be worse.

So, this presumtious bastard decides to make flash games. All is well and good. He wants to sell said flash games. Again, all well and good and captialism and all that jazz. He apparently can't do his own artwork for it. Okay, so he decides to hire some artists to help him out. Everybody wins right? Artists are getting paid, the flash gamer is getting his game, and everybody's happy.

Except what? He's not paying the artists fairly? AND WRITES A FUCKING ARTICLE ON HOW TO HIRE AN ARTIST AND CHEAT THEM OUT OF PROFIT FOR SOMETHING THEY WORKED ON? Hold the fucking train here.

Anywho, read this fucking bullshit. Seriously, this makes me happy that I have no interest in selling my art and just give it away to people I care about as gifts rather than commissions. Less of a chance that I'll be burned by this kind of bullshit.

How to find an artist:

I recommend looking through art sites such as Deviantart for an artist which suits your taste, or any other site that has a decent art community such as Newgrounds. There’s a few reasons you want to find an artist this way. First of all, they’re cheaper. These guys aren’t used to making a lot of money for their work so they will be more appreciative of the chance even if they are being payed slightly less than what professionals are payed. Second of all, they’re better. The quality of art you can find through this method is pretty amazing, and the vast amount of artists guarantee you will find something that suits your tastes and needs. Unless you have a specific price you want to pay in mind, ask THEM what they are willing to charge for the project. This usually causes people to give offers that are lower than what you normally pay, and will make them happy.

Artist payment:

Make it clear to whomever you hire that they will not be payed until ALL the work is completed, unless it is completed by a predefined date, and unless it matches or exceeds expectations. Sometimes I have an issues getting all of these things, but if you give someone a job they’re expected to treat it as so even if they’re just a hobbyist. Paying prior to the completion of the project is a bad idea for several reasons. Only paying for the finished work encourages the artist to finish their job faster, if you pay up front the artist has no motivation to finish quickly. Similarly, if you pay up front the artist could disappear and you may never get what you payed for!

So, trying to watch DRRR and megavideo decides that I'm not logged in when it turns out I am. And it's just not registering that I am. And youtube doesn't have the episode I'm on. :\ I'll look tomorrow when I have time after work. I have 5 more episodes damnit!!!!!!!!

Work last night was...interesting to say the least. Had a guy from Allen Park come over, because we had a call off. At least he knew enough service to make last night bareable. :\ I was stuck in back booth which isn't a hard position, but it is when you're trying to manage shift. Not something I recommend. Tonight SHOULD run smoother. Should. Or I keep on hoping.

So, been trying to help get the house nice and clean for my roommmate's departure tonight, even though the past few days I've been Ultragimp. Smoothed things over with my friend that hopefully won't blow up in my face in the next two weeks, and have been playing Soul Silver like a champ.

My poor ps2 has been neglected the past few days...I think tomorrow I'll rectify that. X3

Had a power surge today, but luckily I was able to save the tv/internet/computers so they're all okay. So...yay! I take my victories where I can. :D

Anywhoo, need to catch up on the memes since I didn't do any yesterday. I was way too tired to think about them and this morning I just wanted to play my DS so that was a big no on posting. XD AT LEAST I CAN DO THEM NOW!

So...that's about everything that's going on. Except for my crew tonight which...I'm most likely getting out at like, 8 in the morning. Because one of my service people is brand new, my grill person isn't strong AT ALL and then there's my one strong service guy who's going through some shit and most likely won't have his head in the game and me. So...work was...fine I guess. It could have been so much better if my damn service person would stop trying to talk/text on her fucking phone. Really, I know we're slower than the other shifts, I really do, but we also have a lot more cleaning to do. And other bullshit like the cleaning report for the grill to work on.

In other news, cleared out my mp3 player yesterday and began from scratch. I didn't feel like going through all my folders on it to pick and choose songs, so I just started out from scratch. I'm done trying to please people with my music, I really am. Especially since they were being dicks about it the other week. They're lucky I can't stand working in a silent store, or else I'd just stop bringing my radio. :\

Nothing much is going on. Playing Pokemon again, and figuring out where the hell I left off in Diamond. Took me two days but I finally figured it out. XD I'm glad I did, and can go back to trying to raise up dark/ghost Pokemon.

Work last night wasn't that bad, although this morning could have been better. So my store manager shows up, I'm thinking she's opening, but ends up she's not and someone else was supposed to be there. She ends up showing up like, 45 minutes after she's supposed to...so I end up leaving 45 minutes late. WTH MAN. We actually had everything done too...at least my people were able to go home on time.

Work last night sucked really bad. Walked into my store manager which I wasn't expecting, going through the tornado warning which wasn't fun, training a new girl in drive thru who has never done it before, busy as fuck, and the manager that was running shift getting sick so I had to take over. I swear, if tonight's ANYTHING like last night, I think I'm either going to break down and NEVER care at the job again or scream. Maybe both depending. :\

In mango news, I SCANNED 9 PAGES YESTERDAY! Now all I need to do is type in the "script" and post them all. This year, I have this notebook thing that I've been keeping all the dialogue in instead of writing it all in the margins like I did last year, and it's been working out really well. Oh! And I downloaded some new fonts! I'm thinking of looking around for some more, just to be able to say that I have a better selection than before, and most likely will before I really start to type out all those words onto my pretty pictures!
