darkdragonoftheneverWell, today was Crystal's birthday, all three of us are tired and sick, and it was really nice out. Well, at least the temperatures were. The overcast sky and drizzle was I guess a downer. I enjoy the rain personally so whatever. I really think that it was because we're all sick. We did the check thing, and the mall thing and *gasp* I didn't buy anything. The reason for that will come later. *is being hopeful right now*
So, bascially hung out all day with Chris and Crystal's mom, went out to dinner, and am still worried I missed the all-important-phone-call from my mom. Because I sorta have her cat carrier and am supposed to be taking care of the kitty. However, I didn't get home until 11 at night so...yeah... I'm hoping either she calls in the next hour or so. *didn't even realize it was 6 in the morning* Go me.
Downloaded The Sims 2 as well, and am having fun. I need to create another family and get custom hair styles and stuff still, but I can wait until I get more used to the game to really try them out and stuff. Now, everyone I know who plays The Sims says it's really addictive. Please keep in mind that a lot of games I play are 'addictive' and I seem to have no problems stopping at any point to go do something else. Short attention span, I love you right now. Mostly because I get to grin at people and go 'I play, but I'm not addicted.' Because come on. Once you figure out the pattern of the game, it gets too repetitive and boring. Unless it has a compelling storyline. Like .hack. *swoons at storyline* Love that series of games. ♥
Lets see. What else...I really want to go down to North Carolina for an anime convention, but for one, all three of us couldn't take the weekend off we needed to be able to go (because the weekends I do get off, I take off in advance. I swear. If they don't give me youma's weekend, I'm gonna murder someone. *cough*Helen*cough*). They have Sailor Moon's and Luna's Japanese voice actors. And some J-rock band I never heard of (then again, me? Keep up with them? I'd rather avoid the rabid fans and wait until they break up to get into them. ><; )and a bunch of other Japanese guests my roommates were swooning over. The day I know VA's is the day I know actors/actresses.
Swoon is also the word of the day. Why? That's a very good question.
Speaking of conventions, we're gonna see if we can make it to Anime Vegas. *knocks on wood* I'd really like to go because for one, the furthest out West I've been is touching the Oklahoma border when I went down to Arkansas. The story behind that is we were trying to get to one of my many, many, many great aunt's houses (or was it great great? All I remember is that it was my great grandma's sister. If both of my bloodlines run true, I'm gonna live forever and a day. XD)
and we had to turn around, briefly touching Oklahoma. Anyway back to the subject, we were thinking it was gong to be a week long trip with three days at the con and four days for the trip and back, which mapquest timed at around 30 hours of straight driving. We can do it, however, it would mean that our savings for Youma would be from Sept-Oct instead of March-Oct and that's not including the cost of all the fabric and stuff we need to make costumes, food, and all that jazz. Then again, these two had 40 bucks the entire weekend last time they went and survived, I think we can do the same. Just bring a lot of crap to sign. ><'
...wow that paragraph was long. Oh! I also went on an icon spree today. X3 I found some nice D.Gray-man ones...I really need to start rewatching that series. They're already on episode 74 and I'm on like, episode 29...I need to get going on that. Well, and Bleach too. *is on episode 6 or 7, doesn't remember* *sighs* So many anime, so little time. ;p
So, I'm off to update my character profiles for Crystal's site...that needed to be done like last month. I don't feel bad since she has her own characters she needs to get done. Yah, go Headmistress. Get on my ass and doesn't do her own. XD
