Curse of the bad memory
Sep. 24th, 2006 08:18 pmWould have updated last night, but I was lucky to even be awake. Now I got a cold...figures. Reason why next time the forecast says rain, my butt has an umbrella and not just a rain coat. Doesn't help that everyone else I know is sick. It was only a matter of time.
So yah. Spent the day at the Woodhaven Invitational. I was gonna do commentary for each band, but I don't remember the names nor the shows. I knew I should have got a program, then I would have been able to, along with their scores. So, yah. You just get a summary of the day. Don't you all feel lucky now? I thought you did.
Hung out with Sara, Chasity and Faythe until the comp started. *sigh* I can't believe I have to pay now. I knew I should have worn a band shirt...not that it would have helped any. Watched the bands from the spectators side for once, and damn. I could actually see! No props in the way! Lo and behold!
Sat alone until I ran into Gina, then sat with her and made comments on marching and picking out little things the judges did. Like one clarinet player (i think it was TNT's band, but i'm not sure) that kept looking at the ground like it was going to disappear and then almost running into people. Could tell the poor kid didn't know their sets. Seen Angie (outside of work, OMG!!!) and Amanda, whom I haven't seen since...well, me, her, and angie all went to go see X3 o_0;; Yah, go me keeping track of everyone.
Watched Wyndotte, and they've inproved quite a bit. Still the losers of the area, but they're gaining. I'm so proud of them. *tear* Southgate gave us all a huge scare, but after hearing that Woodhaven's score was only what? 3 or 4 points behind them, I was put at ease at least.
Went home, and got to deal with 7 little 11 year olds, Chad included. Dipshit was offically the 40-year-old-with-the-mentality-of-a-2-year-old. I never want to have so many children in my presence again. Ever. Yet I know, next year, it will be much of the same thing. Thank God my parties consisted of me and 3 of my old friends. Good times good times. Some of the crap we came up with...muwhahaha.
Took an hour nap, and watched tv the rest of the night. I know. So very exciting.
And that was my eventful day. Tried my luck at an amv...although it's a slideshow. Now I gotta figure out how the hell to upload it. u_U;
