Things on the agenda: Welcome people, rant about work, and whatever random stuff I can think of. Oh, and eventually do something productive. Eventually.

First thing's first, a belated welcome to [livejournal.com profile] osoroi, and a big welcome to [livejournal.com profile] orange_lovely, [livejournal.com profile] misstwi, [livejournal.com profile] soypants, [livejournal.com profile] fetusforbrunch, [livejournal.com profile] krissified, [livejournal.com profile] digivolution, [livejournal.com profile] bubblegum_miley, [livejournal.com profile] ghrelin, and [livejournal.com profile] lady_saru365 from the kuroshitsuji friending meme! I really hope that we all can become good friends and have fun lurking on each other's journals! Also, I'm a really boring person who complains a lot...just as a warning.

Oh, and have a Contact Post so you can stalk me elsewhere on the internet. ♥ That also goes for the rest of my flist too...mostly since I just made it. never thought I'd need one...seriously.

Now, onto the work rant from this past week! Under a cut...because like last week, this week just...ug. They're lucky I haven't quit yet.

So...it all started out on Thursday when one of my coworkers told me to have a good night. Which is one of the forbidden phrases. Just like saying how 'slow' it is or how 'bored' someone is. Or even 'how they hope it's going to be slow all night'. Always ends up being the opposite. Always.

So, in the midst of the electricians coming in and redoing our wiring/circuit breakers for the new computers that are coming, trying to keep the crew on top of their game while running around ladders and stuff...it wasn't easy. Then I come to find out that labor is out of control...meaning that we have to CUT AN INSANE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE TO MAKE UP FOR IT and try to get to our number for the month, some of my people are cut. Fine. Whatever. Won't be the first time I've been short-staffed and sure as hell won't be the last. So, of course, send everyone home and then the customers come. Pile on top of that the fucking electricians keep needing me to lock them out/in the building because THEY CAN'T FUCKING BRING EVERYTHING INSIDE. GOD FORBID. so I'm back and forth in lobby, trying to get it done, keep the store locked, and run for drive thru. Not a fun task.

And then dealing with the bitching. I seriously can't take that anymore. My crew bitch about the other crew. Bitch about their relationships with said crew. Bitch about the lack of relationships they have with other said crew. Bitch on how I just don't give a flying fuck about their problems anymore. I can't do it. I'm not a fucking therapist. I'm the fucking manager. I'm not getting paid to listen to your bitching nor try to give you advice, which you REALLY shouldn't be asking me anyway. Because 1. asexual here. Don't care. 2. NEVER BEEN IN ONE. All my "advice"? Comes from what I've watched on television or read in books/manga. Really, not too sound advice here. 3. ...I have work to do. Can't deal with random bullshit when I'm more worried about getting out on time. kthxbi.

So...Friday rolls around, we blow labor. Like, really fucking bad. Also come to find out that someone who was working that night wasn't supposed to, and we didn't find out until 4 in the morning. Also, had to change out the coke, which has CO2 lines in it that we have to change too. I guess the empty coke things also have CO2 in them that gets vented? Because the damn new CO2 alarm went off and I had no idea wtf to do. Luckily, it kept saying that we should just open the doors/avoid the area so I wasn't too worried, but I had no idea what to do. It wasn't until like, 5 when the morning manager came in and told me that I was flipping out over nothing that I felt at ease. usually a flashing red light will do that.

Then my store manager came in, which I totally wasn't expecting, and I got 'talked to' about knowing who works when and how it's my job to make sure that my people know and blah blah blah. Truthfully, by that point, I really didn't care. If the kid hadn't been there, that store would have looked like a disaster area. And no, it wasn't completely my fault that labor was over 3 points for the day. Sorry, but midnights? Can't do that. Physically impossible unless I get like, 10 people instead of my usual 5. Which means that the day and night shifts had more of a hand in it. Because the numbers for my shift? all in the 20's. Where they belong. So, whatever.

Saturday night, sent a lot of people home early in trying to counteract the labor problem. I think we made it that day, I'm not sure. I don't remember. (bad part of typing this all out on a Wednesday morning.) Either way, in the middle of counting our truck that morning, store manager decides to visit me, and DEMAND and explanation about fry waste.

Now, we have a bucket that has these nifty little numbers on it that tells you how many pounds of fries that we're wasting and we have a conversion chart into how many bags. We were wasting 3 bags a day, and since NO ONE ELSE KNOWS HOW TO FUCKING LOOK AT A NUMBER ON A BUCKET AND THROW IT ON THE WASTE SHEET, it makes it look like my shift is the ONLY one wasting fries. 3 bags worth a day which is BULL. FUCKING. SHIT. Which I told her. That I don't know if that's the whole day or what because NO ONE ELSE COUNTS IT. Which meant that everyone got a not that I promptly put on the back burner. Truthfully, a lot of my notes I just saved and didn't read...been really busy. :\

Sunday was the fun day. Because the electricians came back! JOY. And this time, they have to do stuff to our system/computers. EVEN FUCKING BETTER. So, I was doing my paperwork all out of order, helping out in grill/service, trying to get the lobby done, and standing by the door. Again. Because they were in and out (and took like, a 40 minute break in the middle of their work. WTF. THEY WERE THERE BEFORE I EVEN CLOCKED IN AND THEY HAD TO GO ON BREAK AT LIKE, MIDNIGHT? ASSHOLES.) So, lobby didn't really get done, and then afternoons didn't do half their dishes, which meant I got to do all of ours and then theirs. Oh do I wish we had a dishwasher. It would make my life soooooo much easier.

In the middle of it, I think I snapped because I started giggling as I thought of drowning myself in the sanitizer. Because it's pink. And I was going to die in something pink. I was just so tempted to do it. So tempted.

Anyway, sent my crew home waaaay early at like, 6:10 (we're scheduled off at 5:30, although that's a big 'try to get out of there by this time' and it's really 6.) because one of them didn't feel like helping out and I didn't think it was fair for the grill guy to stay after working his ass off. He's getting a lot better in grill too!! I'm so proud of Curt. Anyway, finished dishes at like, 6:45. And I still wasn't done.

Because none of my paperwork was really finished/filed. I only did the basic of basic of my computer/office work because my goal was to get everything else in working order. So did that until 7ish, and then I got to call technical support. Because the registers would come up with an error anytime we tried to grill something, and the computer in the back was giving us an error.

WHOEVER thought it was a GOOD IDEA to put all our hardware in a cabinet is STUPID. I had to dig and dig and dig to get to the wires that the lady was telling me and then had to play 'follow the wire and see where the fuck it goes' and 'find the black box that's mounted somewhere' for a fucking hour. Until that problem was fixed. I didn't bother with the register problem. I didn't feel like it. AND HOPEFULLY I FUCKED UP LABOR FOR MONDAY. Because I didn't clock out until 8 in the morning, and didn't deal with the register problem like I should have. I just...didn't have the patience for it. At all.

So, that was my week in a nutshell. Joined two Hetalia rps (finally) too, which I'm still filling out apps for. I have a love/hate relationship in filling out histories. Because I adore doing the research, but I just...hate typing it all up. That and character descriptions. Why the hell would I need one if you're making me post a picture anyway?? But I digress, could be worse.

So, to those that are going/already back to school: GOOD LUCK.
For those like me who are working instead of going to school: REMEMBER WHEN WE HAD A 2 MONTH VACATION?!? AHAHAHAHAHA.

gonna work on apps and maybe lay off the sugar psycho
